Blog from January, 2013

EPA has published an updated XML reporting schema Version v3.0 for RY2012 which allows facilities to upload their greenhouse gas (GHG) data directly in lieu of using the web forms provided through the Electronic Greenhouse Gas Reporting Tool (e-GGRT). Please note this XML schema Version v3.0 WILL NOT BECOME EFFECTIVE until e-GGRT is made available for 2012 reporting in mid-February (currently e-GGRT will only accept 2011 and 2010 data). XML based reporting submitted after e-GGRT is open for RY2012 reporting must be consistent with schema Version v3.0.

The XML reporting schema Version v3.0 and supporting materials are published at XML Reporting Instructions. Additional materials (i.e. subpart specific reporting instructions) will be added when they are ready.

Certain e-GGRT features which support user registration and certification of submissions will be unavailable on Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 8am to 2pm EST due to system maintenance. Other e-GGRT features will continue to be available.

An earlier outage at EPA's National Computing Center that prevented access to e-GGRT has been resolved.  Thank you for your patience.

EPA is experiencing problems with its National Computing Center hosting environment that may cause intermittent problems with e-GGRT access (including user-login).  If you are unable to access or log-in to e-GGRT, please try re-loading the page and logging in again at a later time.  EPA is working to resolve the problem.

In addition to the draft RY12 XML Schema released late last month, EPA is providing a public preview of some RY12 reporting forms.  This preview covers the source categories where the collection of the inputs to some equations was deferred until 2013 (for the 2012 reporting year).  Specifically, the following Part 98 Subparts have inputs to equations whose reporting deadline was deferred until 2013: C, D, DD, FF, HH, II, SS and TT.
