Blog from February, 2013

The electronic Greenhouse Gas Reporting Tool (e-GGRT) is now open for 2012 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reporting under EPA's Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program (GHGRP).

When you access e-GGRT at https://ghgreporting.epa.gov, select 2012 under the ‘Data Reporting’ tab to enter 2012 GHG data. Updated reporting instructions are available on the GHGRP Help site at www.ccdsupport.com.

The deadline for submitting the 2012 annual GHG report is April 1, 2013. Facilities or suppliers reporting under subparts C, D , DD, HH, II, FF, SS, or TT must also submit inputs to equations whose reporting was deferred until 2013 for reporting years 2010 and/or 2011, as applicable, on or before April 1, 2013.

Your facility or supplier Certificate of Representation (COR) must be complete in order to submit the 2012 GHG report. Check the ‘Facility Management’ tab for each facility to make sure the green “Certificate of Representation Signed and Complete” message is visible. If you have not logged into e-GGRT for some time, please note that your e-GGRT password expires every ninety days. Here’s an FAQ on how to reset your password.

EPA is making new forms for GHG Reporting available to the public so that facilities and suppliers can begin preparing reporting year 2012 (RY2012) reports, due on April 1st, 2013. Reporting forms are MS Excel-based forms which capture specific data required under CFR 40 Part 98 and which users upload as part of their reporting. Reporting forms are not used for every source category reporting under the program.

e-GGRT will be unavailable to users during the maintenance period which is expected to last until the week of February 18th.  Once e-GGRT service is restored, users may use e-GGRT to submit annual GHG data for the 2012 Reporting Year.
