Subpart A Additional Summary Information for this Facility

Step 1: Enter facility or supplier information

Subpart A requires you to report the following data about your facility or supplier:

  • The start date and end data for the information contained in the GHG report (see §98.3(c)(2)).
  • A written explanation for any calculation methodology changes during the reporting year, including an explanation of why a change in methodology was required (see §98.3(c)(6) and §98.3(c)(e)), if applicable.
  • Whether you will be submitting a full or abbreviated GHG report
  • Whether this company or entity qualifies for small business status
  • For facilities, a response of Yes or No answering the question do reported emissions include emissions from a cogeneration unit (see §98.3(c)(4)). If you are only reporting as a supplier listed in Table A-5 you should select "not applicable because I am a supplier."
  • A brief explanation of of the reasons and data that will be claimed as confidential
  • All EPA e-GGRT IDs that correspond to this facility
  • Whether the facility has the capacity to generate electricity
  • Whether your report will include de minimis emissions

Step 2: Enter De Minimis emissions

If your report includes de minimis emissions:

  • Indicate whether your report will include de minimis emissions
  • Download the "De Minimis Emissions" spreadsheet
  • Complete the spreadsheet
  • Upload your completed spreadsheet using the BROWSE and UPLOAD buttons provided

Step 3: Enter energy purchase/acquisition data

Reporters must enter electricity, thermal energy, and natural gas purchase/acquisition data. Instructions are available at:

Step 4: Provide additional information

If your facility produces sheet steel, soda ash, or gypsum, then you must:

  • Select the "Yes" radio button
  • Enter annual quantities of all applicable products

If your facility uses a forest product as a combustion fuel:

  • Click the FOREST PRODUCT FUELS link
  • Complete the spreadsheet
  • Upload the spreadsheet using the ATTACHMENTS area

If you used missing data procedures:

  • Click the MISSING DATA SUBSTITUTION link
  • Complete the spreadsheet
  • Upload the spreadsheet using the ATTACHMENTS area

For subpart W, 2011 data only, if a facility or supplier used best available monitoring methods for all or part of the reporting year, subpart A requires you to report the following information:

  • A brief description of each best available monitoring method used,
  • The parameter measured using the method, and
  • The time period during which the best available monitoring method was used

Step 5: Save your data

When you have entered the required information, click SAVE.
